Last week the cornerstone was laid for the construction of new technology based on H-class gas turbines at Dolna Odra Power Plant.

“I’m proud that EDC engineers can participate in such important project, support PGE with GE Power’s technologies and to be a part of Poland’s #decarbonization and #energytransformation!”, said Michał Małecki, Executive Member of the Board of the General Electric Company Polska and Gas Power Engineering Poland Leader.

The present coal-fired power plant will be transformed, and the new gas-steam blocks are expected to reduce CO2 emission by 2-3 million tons per year. At the same time they will produce electricity equal to the needs of approx. 2.5 million households.
