EDC is an engineering alliance between General Electric Company and Institute of Aviation in Warsaw

EDC is a public-private partnership between General Electric and the Warsaw Institute of Aviation, which was established in 2000 with just 5 employees. Currently, EDC employs more than 1800 engineers and plans to continue growing.

EDC Aviation

EDC Aviation – GE design office – concentrates its efforts on delivering reliable and competitive product such as jet engines, helicopter engines, marine engines, as well as stationary engines.

EDC Transportation

The EDC part of GE Transportation operates in the railroad industry, focusing on modeling long-term contracts and providing service support for locomotive fleets around the globe, e.g. in USA, Canada, Mexico, Brazil, China, India, and Kazakhstan.

Aviation Systems

The GE Aviation Systems business is a global provider of electrical power systems, avionics, actuation and landing gear, aerostructures and propeller systems to the builders and operators of military and civil aircraft, from large transports to fighters, UAVs to armored vehicles, and from helicopters to regional and business jets.

EDC Power

As the integral part of the global GE Power, we work in two major businesses – Gas Power Systems and Power Services, focusing on Heavy Duty and aeroderivative Gas Turbines. We are responsible for the hardware ownership of the structural parts of all types of turbines and we have the full ownership for the hot section of E-class turbine.

As a part of Baker Hughes, a GE Company we work together with nearly 70,000 other people from more than 120 countries on bringing the oil & gas industry together. We are professionally engaged in designing, analyzing and supporting various types of compressors, gas and steam turbines for mechanical drives, power and cogeneration applications, turbo expanders for energy recovery, auxiliary systems and subsea production systems.

Digital Areas @ EDC

Software development and data analytics are fresh areas of expertise, compared to the 18 years of overall EDC presence on the Polish market. However, we already have strong and growing analytics and software teams in two businesses – Aviation and Power.
