In a rainy September ceremony at Paine Field in Everett, Washington, Boeing officially delivered the first 787 Dreamliner to Japanese carrier ANA. GE Aviation Systems was a key supplier for the aircraft, providing major parts of the plane’s central nervous system, including the common core system (CCS) that is the backbone of the Dreamliner’s computer system, its airborne flight recorder and its landing gear actuation, indication and nose wheel steering systems.
