We are pleased to announce that on April 7th the leadership of Engineering Design Center was taken over by Marcin Wasilewski. Marcin brings more than 20 years of high-performing engineering leadership and management experience to this role. He joined GE in 2001 as a combustor design engineer. During that time, he took several year-long international assignments in the USA (Lynn, Massachusetts & Evendale, Ohio) and Engineer-In-Shop in Bucharest, Romania. Marcin worked in the Combustion Centers of Excellence (CoE) until 2008, when he took a managerial position in Airfoils, Combustion & Repair Technology CoE. In 2010, he was appointed Product Engineering Center Hot Section Manager, leading four modules at EDC, including CDN, HPT, LPT&MS.

In 2014, Marcin was promoted to CF6 Executive Manager to provide design and fleet leadership for the turbomachinery hardware on the CF6 engine line. In this role, he led a diverse global technical team and partnered with the Engineering, Supply Chain, Services, Project, and Customer teams.

Marcin graduated from Warsaw University of Technology with an MSc degree in mechanical engineering in 2001. He was a member of the Power Engineering Organization and earned many scholarships for his outstanding student achievements during his education.
