Last weekend, the series of workshops of EDC Academy, under the brand of Pani Inżynier w Pracy, took place. Event has been organized already for the 3rd time and hosted 20 female students from Polish technical universities. Young female engineers had amazing opportunity to discover business environment, meet and greet our engineers, participate in workshops designed to build their confidence and help them thrive in their career choices.

Students have deepened their knowledge in areas of 3D printing, discovered the world class equipment and facilities in material laboratory and participated in Agile/Scrum training to boost digital skills. Participants were also provided with soft skills trainings, such as: assertiveness in business, art of self-presentation and mastering interviews. “Our participants had a great opportunity to take part in a lab tour. They visited 3D printing and Materials Lab, learnt a lot about Agile and Scrum and actively participated in some business trainings such as self-presentation.  It was really nice to observe that everyone was amazingly engaged! Together we created a fantastic team where we could learn a lot from each other – not only our guests but also we as organizers and lecturers gained many unique experiences.” – says Aleksandra Ochwat, GE Women’s Network Leader and the organizer of the EDC Academy series. Students were highly interested in pursuing career in EDC by applying for internships and job offers.

We are very proud that each year EDC Academy is receiving a great deal of attention from the students. We cannot wait for the next year edition to make education and learning even more innovative and captivating!
