On the 20th of June 2012 during the U.S.- Poland Business Summit the trilateral agreement on scientific and educational cooperation by Ohio State University, Warsaw University of Technology and the Institute of Aviation was signed. Three partners were represented by Vice President of The Ohio State University from the United States Geoffrey S. Chatas, prof. Władysław Wieczorek – Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs in the name of President of the Warsaw University of Technology Włodzimierz Kurnik and Director of the Institute of Aviation Witold Wiśniowski.

The agreement is a crowning achievement of 12-year strategic Polish-U.S. cooperation in the area of science and technology. It is also a result of 12 Polish and U.S. conferences, arranged by the Institute of Aviation, which have always attracted outstanding representatives of the Polish and U.S. science, members of the academies of science and representatives of governments of both countries.
