We are pleased to announce that General Electric Company Polska Sp. z o.o. has been awarded with the title of the Innovation Symbol 2021.
Presenting the company with this prestigious recognition, the jury appreciated the way GECP implement innovative solutions in the fields of Aviation, Gas Power and Renewable Energy.
“Receiving this award is an honor” – stated Marian Lubieniecki, Chairman of the Board of General Electric Company Polska. “It shows that the way we work on creating state-of-the-art technical and industrial solutions is really unique. I’m proud that daily effort of our engineers has been distinguished. It is thanks to their hard work that we can be awarded with such reputable award.”
During the gala of Symbol 2021 in Katowice, Michał Małecki, Executive Member of the Board of the General Electric Company Polska and Gas Power Engineering Poland Leader also thanked the team for their work and underlined the development that EDC has made. “When we were establishing Engineering Design Center 20 years ago there were only few engineers. Today we employ more than 1000 technical experts, who are r espected globally for their technical skills, methodological approach and the vast knowledge they have” – said Małecki. “The success would not have been possible without them, without the cooperation with the Łukasiewicz Research Network – Institute of Aviation and without the great synergy between business, the scientific world and the local governments“ – he added.
The need of cooperation between industry, science and local government representatives was one of the topics of the discussion panel during the award ceremony in Katowice. Michał Małecki, Anna Tymoshenko (Częstochowa city), Mariola Żak (Aurec Home), Ireneusz Majsterek (Łódź Medical University) and Jacek Szczepański (Poltegor-lnstitute) talked about the need of building this multi-level synergy and discussed topics related to new investments in the context of the requirements of “green” energy policy, modern technologies as a pillar of socio-economic progress, investment funds and support in the time of COVID-19 pandemic.
“Today we have gathered companies, enterprises, universities and institutions that are characterized by the development of modern technologies, the highest quality, innovation, effective management, business support and synergy of science and business. These factors are the most important in the modern economy that changes the world for the better – emphasized Jakub Lisiecki, Managing Director of PubliCity Media Group, editor-in-chief of “Monitor Biznesu” and “Monitor Rynkowy” supplements published in Rzeczpospolita, Dziennik Gazeta Prawna and Puls Biznesu, during the gala speech.
The event was held under the honorary patronage of the Patent Office of the Republic of Poland, the Representation of the European Commission in Poland, the National Center for Research and Development, the Main Council of Research Institutes, the Conference of Rectors of Academic Schools in Poland, the Upper Silesian-Zagłębie Metropolis, the Union of the Provinces of the Republic of Poland, the Union of Polish Districts and the Union of Rural Communes Polish Republic.
