At the end of May 2014 at EDC a newly created business – GE Energy Management – started providing engineering support for GE Power Conversion – Rotating Machines Platform. GE Power Conversion applies the science and systems of power conversion to help drive the electric transformation of the world’s energy infrastructure.
Designing and delivering advanced motors, generators, drive and control technologies that evolve today’s industrial processes for a cleaner, more productive future, it serves specialized sectors such as energy, marine, industry and all related services.
GE manufactured motors and generators for some of the first commercial and industrial electrical applications and continues to deliver innovative electrical and mechanical power solutions to the world. Power Conversion machines efficiently operate in challenging applications and severe environments where reliability and ease of maintenance is critical.
Power Conversion has installations in a wide range of industries including but not limited to, Marine, Power & Energy, Mining, Cement, Metals, Pulp & Paper, Water & Wastewater and present in EDC – GE Oil & Gas.
