On Thursday, July 31st EDC Repair Development Center (RDC) officially launched a new workstation consisting of several devices. “We did that investment to carry out Material Screening project that our RDC team is running for GE Aviation business. One of its main aims is to make weldability studies on materials used in the air industry.” – said, RDC Lab Manager.
Key to the system is a Fanuc ArcMate 120iC welding robot. It is integrated with two-axis positioner and can be used with two welding sources: MIG/MAG/CMT (Fronius: TransPuls Synergic 500) and Auto-TIG (Magic Wave 4000).
This new cell is a part of our local Repair Laboratory, which develops very fast and brings bigger opportunities to EDC.
