During last two weeks, Institute of Aviation in Warsaw and General Electric Company Polska Sp. z o.o. organized 3 remarkable aeronautics events, merging science with business:
- on Monday, September 25th the EREA (Association of European Research Establishments in Aeronautics) meetings took place, including Board Strategic Workshop and EREA Future Sky Energy Workshop,
- from Tuesday, September 26th till Friday September 29th, EASN (European Aeronautics Science Network) conference — the major European Dissemination event — was held at our site,
- on Tuesday, October 3rd we hosted CEE Supply Chain Conference initiated by GE and co-hosted by the American Chamber of Commerce.
Throughout these events, nearly 400 people connected with aeronautics and air transport met. During first two events, more than 300 scientists of the Europe’s most oustanding research centres exchanged experience, presented their high quality recent achievements and new upstream research ideas and discussed the future vision and strategy of aeronautics. On CEE Supply Chain Conference opportunities of connecting SMEs in CEE to the global economy via GE’s supply chain were discussed.
Marian Lubieniecki – EDC Site Leader – took part in all three conferences. He is a Board Member of EREA, so he took part in the discussion about the future vision and strategy for the Association and he presented the key-note lectures during the next two events. He talked about Design & Research Philosophy in the Environment of Global Competition at EASN Conference and gave a speech about Technologies of the Future during the Supply Chain Conference.
