On Wednesday, October 8th, Magdalena Nizik, Chairman of the Management Board of General Electric Company Polska Sp. z o.o. and Witold Wiśniowski, Director of Institute of Aviation officially signed off the Diversity Charter.
The ceremonial Charter signing meeting was attended by Ewa Leśnowolska, Responsible Business Forum representative, coordinator of this initiative and all EDC businesses representatives, as well as GE Women’s Network leaders.
Diversity Charter is a commitment to promote actions for Equality and Diversity in the company. This commitment obliges EDC to support and promote equal treatment policies and diversity management, as well as active anti-discrimination and anti-harassment initiatives in the workplace.
Diversity Charter is present in 12 European countries. The initiator and coordinator of the Polish Charter is Responsible Business Forum, and the honorary patrons are: Government Plenipotentiary for Equal Treatment, the Ombudsman and the Minister of Labor and Social Policy.
Additionally to celebrate this event the same day we organized EDC Diversity Day. Our employees had the opportunity to symbolically sign the Diversity Charter and – to emphasize the global character of our organization – mark on the great globe those countries/cities they visited on a business trip or during a private journey.
