On Wednesday 12th October EDC hosted a visit from Bank BPH belonging to the GE Capital group. The group comprised of bank employees chosen through their Supernova programme promoting and supporting innovative actions within the organization.

The guests had a chance to visit three laboratories located on EDC’s premises – the Oil & Gas Drilling & Production Requisition Lab, The Failure Analysis lab and the Repair Technology Lab. They were very curious and had many questions but as it usually happens – the highlight of this point of the agenda was wearing helmets.

Further on the guests saw a pitch on EDC’s history and the scope of our actions presented by Magdalena Nizik, the site leader, and managers from each of our businesses. That was followed by a discussion panel focusing mainly on innovation and how it is embedded in everyday running of the engineering centre.

The visit was wrapped up by a tour of aviation engines and planes located in various corners of EDC.

We hope the visit to be the first in a longer series of best practice sharing sessions. It is vital to realize that inspiration can be drawn not only from within one’s own field of actions but also cross-business.
